Kickoff Day: Friday, July 26, 2019 in Presque Isle, Bangor, Augusta, Portland (possibly Lewiston and Kennebunk as well). Gov. Mills will visit multiple communities for small ceremonies at which we will raise the bicentennial flag.
Statehood Day Weekend, March 21,2021. Speeches, poetry and musical performance, display of statehood papers, Augusta.
Summer Celebration featuring sailing ships, multiple weekends, Summer 2021. Opportunities to view ships at various ports along the coast, including Portland, Rockland & others.
Time Capsule Program: (Ongoing) Coordinating and gathering submissions for the commission’s consideration.
State of Maine Bicentennial Parade, Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Lewiston-Auburn. Multiple units will come together for this parade celebrating Maine’s history and culture.
Maine200 Innovation Expo: A future-focused, hands-on exhibition of various industries in Maine embracing technology, Nov.20, 2021, Portland.
