Make out checks to “Maine200” and send them to the attention of Peter Merrill, Treasurer, Maine Bicentennial Commission at 323 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330. Or donate directly to the Maine200 account at any Bangor Savings Bank branch.

Maine200 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so all donations are tax-deductible under the law. Check your tax accountant for your personal deductibility status.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time to take part in the official commemoration of Maine’s bicentennial. The Bicentennial Commission has plans in place for programs and events to mark this important milestone in our history, and we’ll need your help to make it a success. If you would like to use the official Maine200 logo for your event and receive a formal letter of endorsement from the Maine Bicentennial Commission, please complete this application and email it to info@maine200.org for consideration. (Please note that events must meet the criteria listed on the application to receive an endorsement.)

 

bECOME A BICENTENNIAL BUSINESS

Show your Maine pride by becoming a Bicentennial Business. This program is a partnership between Maine200 and the Maine Tourism Association, which will provide participants with a listing on the Bicentennial Business Supporters webpage, a 3' x 5' bicentennial logo flag, and window decal with the official bicentennial logo.

maine-made members: create & sell maine200-endorsed products

The Bicentennial Commission will consider endorsing the use of the Maine200 logo on appropriate products created by members of the MaineMade program, and promoting those products via our MaineMade online Shop. To gain approval, marketers must complete a Product Endorsement Application and pay a one-time fee of $200. Artists who are not members of MaineMade may also apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Store owners and vendors can purchase Maine200 products in bulk via our merchandiser, The Advertising Specialists of Maine, for resale to the public in your store/physical location. Call or email Stefani Berkey for more information on products and wholesale rates, at (207) 990-6022 or Maine200Wholesale@TASOM.com . Maine200 promotional materials are available for download (below) and printing, to make your customers aware that you are selling official Maine200 merchandise.

Retail sites that order Maine200 items wholesale from TASOM for resale will receive a Maine200 “Official Retailer” window decal with their order. Others who wish to have their store recognized as an official retailer should contact Alyssa Wood at Alyssa.Wood@Maine200.org for a window decal.

Note: Please be aware that Maine200 does not permit co-branding of our merchandise with for-profit businesses for resale (i.e. having your logo on the same product as the Maine200 logo). We may permit co-branding on items intended as internal gifts for your employees, or with some non-profit entities such as municipalities. Please contact us at info@maine200.org to discuss your needs.
