DIRIGO: A Maine Bicentennial Exhibition of Craft
The Maine Crafts Association presents DIRIGO: A Maine Bicentennial Exhibition of Craft, featuring concurrent exhibitions at The Center for Maine Craft and Maine Craft Portland.
The Center for Maine Craft will present works honoring Maine’s vital industries, natural resources, historical trade, and Maine’s sustainable future.
Maine Craft Portland will present works created in response to Portland’s many historical monuments and landmarks, including ‘Our Lady of Victories’, ‘John Ford’, ‘Longfellow’, ‘Michael’, ‘Lincoln Fountain’, and ‘Seven’.
In addition to traditional fine craft objects, the retail galleries offer specialty foods, personal care, cards, art prints, photography, literature, and apparel commemorating Maine’s bicentennial celebration as complementary items to the exhibited works.
