Join us via Zoom on Monday, June 22nd at 6 PM for a lecture with Maine native Cynthia Anderson. She will discuss immigration and her latest book, Home Now: How 6,000 Refugees Transformed an American Town, the true story of African immigration into Lewiston, Maine.
Home Now is one of forty adult Maine non-fiction books the Brewer Library purchased in celebration of Maine’s bicentennial. This project was made possible thanks to a Rose and Samuel Rudman Fund Grant of the Maine Community Foundation. The talk is sponsored by the Brewer Public Library, the Brewer Library Association, and a Maine Bicentennial Commission Community Grant award.
