Maine Bicentennial Conference
This scholarly conference is open to the public for a modest registration fee. It includes three musical performances and is designed to be engaging. In addition to the scholarly panels several elements (eg, museum exhibits and the keynote event by two Pulitzer Prize winning historians on May 31) are entirely free to the public. A Maine History Festival for students (at all levels) and cultural organizations to present their own research and planning for the state bicentennial will be part of the conference just prior to the keynote event.
